Mort’s Mother’s Day Poem

Mort and Elaine enjoy Philly’s great restaurants with friend Barbara Nodine.

Mort’s Mother’s Day Poem, May 9, 2021 --For the Belle, now Somewhat at Liberty ………………………………………………………………….. Revel in your sumptuous abode at Dockside,

Clearly in the world there’s no better place to reside,

Below you unfolds the extensive opulence of Philly,

Not to luxuriate in it would be utterly silly,

Contemplate dinners with Barbara and Gail,

As you watch small boats on the throbbing river sail,

Watch the captivating show of pastel twilight sky,

It more than compensates for any arrogant lantern fly,

Defying good sense, remain true to your Phillies,

Even though they give judgmental people the willies,

Watch games on a dearly beloved asset,

Our gigantic, wall-mounted TV set,

Being together as a family does deeply satisfy,

The unity binding all of us we completely ratify,

On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the bounty from your maternal cornucopia,

You should be role model for mothers of Utopia!
